LiteOn DVD Burner not recognized in XP

Hey everyone. So I just tried installing a LiteOn 22x SATA DVD Burner (Model: iHAS322-08 8) into my Dell Dimension 4600 desktop. Windows XP doesn't seem to be detecting it though. There's definitely power going to it, and the Sata cable is connected to the motherboard as well, but that's about it. I do have a cd burner in the desktop already installed, however it uses an IDE cable to connect it to the motherboard. Should I disconnect the old CD burner and see if the new Sata dvd burner will be recognized? Oh and I'm running Win XP with SP3.
Here's a general overview of the motherboard if that helps.

On Dells, the SATA port has to be turned on in the bios.
