M3A79-T Deluxe Fail to Start

Sorry for the lame title, but it was all I could think of at the moment. This afternoon I attempted to set up a Dual Boot with Windows 7 and Windows XP. I had Windows 7 loaded up first and was doing XP second (Only because I originally didn't plan on installing XP). Long story short, the XP install caused an error while loading the boot manager. So I couldn't launch windows in either way. I decided to go ahead try different methods to recover my ability to boot windows, but only to meet with failure. Finally I deleted the Windows XP partition of my single hard drive that I was using and it did nothing (I had attempted using both fixboot and fixmbr). My motherboard was firing up normally but I would come to a blank screen with a blinking cursor.
So next I decided I needed a second hard drive anyway and went and purchased one, took out the old hard drive, and place the new one in.... Well, now the motherboard does not even boot up. There is no beep from the mobo when I turn the power on and there is no video comes out to the monitor. I am afraid the motherboard is cooked but I can't understand how since I only swapped the hard drives. After much research I cannot find anything that points me in the right direction. Any help on this issue would be incredibly appreciated. Thanks all.

well i solved my own problem! i knew it wasn't the power supply because my fans were all booting up and so were the hard drives that i had... so i pulled the RAM out and my motherboard beeped at me repeatedly; telling me that my mobo was still good.
so then i took a pencil eraser (slightly used) and ran the eraser over the golden portions of both sides of both of my RAM chips. i plugged them in and bada-boom-bada-bing my mobo beeped once happily and i had video again. i did not discover this on my own. i found another website with some advice to other people back in february. here it is if anyone else is to ever need help on this issue again (it contains many more trial and error tests for testing equipment encountering this problem):
