One core hotter than the other O_O

Greetings

I have a athlon 64 x2 4200+ stock 2.2ghz
I have it overclocked to 2.5ghz with a tuniq tower.

The crazy thing is when I run prime95 and full load both cores, one core is significantly hotter than the other. The second core is 10c to 15c hotter than the first core on full load during prime95.

I thinking maybe the second core is bad or something

Any ideas?

Try redoing the heatsink.

That is a sign that the heatsink isn't making even contact.

Also pay attention to how much thermal paste you are using. It shouldn't be much at all.

Do the temps of both cores rise, and just one rises more than the other? Or does only one rise, and the other stay?

How much thermal paste did you use? You are only supposed to use the size of dried grain of rice. I have seen this happen when people put way too much thermal paste. OCing at times can cause cores to show uneven temps even if everything is seated correctly and the thermal paste is in the accurate amount.
When you OC you are always gambling and should always expect the worst.
