Anyone try this?

http://www.heatsinkfactory.com/cooli...ng-system.html

I like how compact it is compared to most liquid cooling units.

Wow...that is compact. I read the few reviews and hope that someone that has used it will post their thoughts on this forum.

One thing I didn't see ( or just missed)....does the unit draw its power from the PSU (i.e 4 pin molex connector)?

I ordered 3 today to try them out on some of my machines. I will let everyone know if they are worth it.

Look forward to reading your review. I watched the video a few times and it looks like it connects to the 3 pin CPU fan connector.

If it is as good as advertised this is going to add a ton of business for me. I love the idea. I have built several water cooling systems, I have pictures of them on my site but I hated all the tedious work getting it done. You also have to be so careful not to damage the pipes or fittings, everything seemed so fragile. I hated working on them.

I've always been a little paranoid about trying a water cooling system for fear of a leak taking out the MB and who knows what else. Glad you're the crash dummy (figuratively speaking of course) on this one.

About 20 degree drop in Temp I am happy with it, one of the 3 had a leak though so I am wondering how the other 2 are going to do. I was concerned about reliablity so I removed my AMD 940 and used an older Opteron 1222
It is designed to work with Intel LGA1366, it comes with a bracket for AMD but the instructions and hardware they suggest to use is not correct. Had to use original screws that were holding the old heatsink mount. Oh well. It works and runs much cooler while folding.

The temp shot is not clear in the slide show here is again larger. CPU before the water cooler was running 65C while SMP folding.

I was not talking about the Corsair, this thread is about the CoolIT unit.

Thanks for the update and slideshow Khalil. When I read other reviews, it seemed that the primary complaints were about leakage. I'm sure a certain % of those were unskilled handlers who probably messed something up while connecting, but it's interesting that 1 of 3 that you bought had a leak.

The system is pretty fragile, it is very easy to miss handle it and cause a leak, the entire casing, pipes and fittings are plastic so care is essential while mounting it in the case.

No need to get uptight, I was merely stating this because you previously expressed interest in it.

The only Corsair H50 I have found is:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Corsair-CWCH50-h...3D19%26ps%3D50

I ordreed an ASUS MB from the seller and should receive it tomorrow or Thursday. He shipped it quickly and at this time, I have no complaints with the transaction.

I'm thinking about getting this... Since you own it, do you think it's possible to replace the tubes on that? For one that's more durable (clear pvc tubing)?

Are you referring to the Corsair H50 or the Domino A.L.C.?

The Domino. Unless the corsair is a better buy. I haven't really looked into it much, although this type of setup is very appealing to me. From what i've seen so far, Corsairs H50 seems much more minimalistic compared to the Domino which I like.

It is a sealed unit, I don't think you can replace the tubes.
