Bad sector on seagate drive
The past few days my computer has been locking up when running things of my seagate barricuda 500gb drive. I ran a windows test and it said i have some bad sectors, i ran seagates test and it says its fine. I ran chkdisk on start up, but when it gets to stage to it gets an unknown error at 72%. Is there another way to try and fix this? I have some really important files on that drive

Have you run the extended SeaTools test?
The best way to recover your files is remove the drive and connect it to another computer with a USB adapter. |
