please help...regarding iomega ext. hard drive

i just bought a iomega external hard drive that is compatible for both macs and pcs. it says that i must reformat the hard drive before i can use it for pc. I may purchase Mac in very near future and am concerned that the hard drive will then not work for the Mac. So my question is whether or not I can use the hard drive for pc now after reformatting and then use it for a Mac? the product is an iomega 320gb helium.

thanks for any help

If you format it FAT32, it can be used on both a PC and a MAC.
