DVD Burning problems

I am getting alot of frisbees when writing files to Dual layer DVDs. I am using windows to do the writing. I drag and drop the files into the DVD drive, everything copies fine (no error messages). Then i hit eject and it says its finished the DVD (again no error messages). Everything appears to go fine, but then my computer cant read the DVD. I do not have this issue with regular 4.7GB DVDs. My drive can write to Dual layer. It makes successful DL DVDs about 3/4 of the time. Any ideas?

Vista. When I put the DVD in after burning, the drive does not recognize that there is a disc in.

For whatever reason, its getting worse. I use to have a bad DVD every now and then, but now its every one.

In researching the problem online, it appears that it is a common problem that a drive that writes the disc cannot read it? I don't have another drive or PC handy right now to test the disc on.

Instead of using Windows to burn the disc, try some real burning software.

Yeah I thought about that. I've just always used Windows to burn files and never had any issues. Im going to try imageburn.
