Star LC-100+ Printer

I have a problem with this dot-matrix printer.

When I try printing, only a tiny part gets printed out and it stops printing. Same thing when trying to print a Windows test page, can't fininsh a line of print out.

Any ideas folks?

How old is this thing and what are you using it for? I was at their website and they no longer list it in their support pages. It sounds like the print head is messing up.

This printer is about 4.5 years old. It's not mine, it's a government bank's. Anyway, morris is it the printer head dying the most probable cause of it's quitting out on printing everything?

It could also be the ribbon cable that connects the print head to the printer.
