PC won't boot from USB
I created a bootable USB drive from UNetBootIn for Ubuntu and then set my motherboard, the Biostar in the first system in my signature, to boot first from a removable device. When I reboot the computer with the USB drive plugged in, it will not boot from the drive. Even when I select to manually choose where to boot from, when I choose removable device, I get a message that says that there is no device found, and then the computer boots into Windows. Can anyone help me figure out what the problem may be? Thanks.

are you sure the USB drive is bootable?
have u try to boot with the USB drive in another computer? if the drive is bootable in a different computer, then your BIOSTAR MB cant do USB booting.

Try the hard drive option. That's what works on my Biostar MB which has the Phoenix BIOS.

This is so weird. I used UNetBootIn to create a bootable USB drive from my iso of Ubuntu 9.10. That didn't work when I booted up; the device couldn't be found. I have an old Ubuntu 8.10 CD, so I popped that in and created a bootable USB drive from the live version of that. For some reason, that worked. I guess I'll just have to install 8.10 and then upgrade after the installation.
