Xp booting problem
I have an ACER NETBOOK ZG5 (AKA AOA100-1588) model. It's an 8.9" screen, 1GB/16GB Windows XP. I have used it about just 100 hours or thereabouts. I don't have any important data in this netbook. The problem is that I cannot use it because I can't even get to my desktop. I have tried every option on the Last Good Config. page. I have tapped the F8 key; tapped the F10 while holding down the Alt. No cigar. I keep returning, automatically, to a page where updates are being performed by the usual percentage progressions. Then, every time this page is done, I'm back on the Last Good Config. page, where I've tried every single option there but without any success. On the same page, etc., there's no sign of the FACTORY DEFAULT RESETTING option, which would be an excellent alternative, of course. The netbook in question is not equipped with a DVD drive, although an external one might become necessary for me to use the Acer "cleanup" CD, thus costing me about $80-100 for the external drive and about $25-30 for the Acer CD I've mentioned. My utmost gratitude to all those who help me resolve this problem.
