problem with mouse
hi ive got a usb mouse it used to work now but now it freezes then comes back to life, sometimes i get a message saying usb device not reconised. sometimes i have to unplug it then plug it in again to get it to work but then it still keeps freezing.
its very annoying. and it didnt come with a disc so im not sure what to do maybe a new mouse? thanks andy |

it might be too the old. There might be something wrong with the usb portion of the mouse...It is constantly exposed to heat so...it might have been its time. yeah get a new mouse..its not that expensive

I would recommend doing what all the above have said, but there is also another option.
You say that the computer doesn't recognize the device? Try reinstalling it. To do so, follow these simple steps (sorry to say, I only know how to do this in W XP); Start > Right click "My computer" > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager > Find the device, un-install > Plug the device into the computer. It will reinstall it's self. (do NOT uninstall the wrong device. Only do this if you are sure it is the right one). PS: This is a last resort before you go out and buy a new mouse (unless you already have done so :P) |
