Intel retiring Celeron?
Rumor out that Intel is planning on retiring the Celeron line of CPUs. http://www.digitimes.com/news/a20100709PD220.html.
I would hate to see this happen, especially if replaced with the Atom. The E3300 is a great value for building a budget PC as an example. Why would they mess with success? The Atom has never impressed me from any standpoint other than power consumption. OF course, Intel is denying the rumor. |

Read it carefully - they are only talking about notebook processors, not desktop processors.

I worry no much of this issue...
Had some celeron PCs that I really hate because of its slow performance ![]() I am sure they have good reason for doing that if that is true.

hey, my main pc atm is running an old celeron (d i think) at 3.06ghz, and i love it >.<
