New Samsung Hard Drive Can't be Detected
I just bought a 1 TB Samsung Hard Drive (SATA) but my pc can't detect it. My motherboard is Biostar. Everything plugged in correctly. Asked me to insert the bootable CD. After a while it automatically shutdown.
Can somebody tell me what's wrong and how can I fix this? Thanks! |

If the drive is not partitioned and formatted, and doesn't have an operating system installed on it, it's not going to be bootable.

If the system works properly with your old hard drive, the new one is defective. Not surprising with Samsung drives.
