Storeage of Digital Images on CDRW

I am finally getting around to setting up some removeable storage for my digital camera images. I'd like to know how to handle the images so I can do incremental backups of the image files since some contents will change. I would like to know if anyone is using a "photoalbum" program for catalogueing photos, and if so, which program do you use. CDR's can be wasted by my duplicating some images in, say, the "family" category. Anybody out there got a handy solution to this problem?
Thanks

Have you checked if your burning program is able to make a photoalbum cd ?

Some burning programs, i.e. WinOnCD, do this. . just check it out.

Copy files[folders] to CDRW.
You can use CDRW disc as same as it were a one big floppy disc.

I don't use any program to store pics or any other files on CDRW.

Thanks for the replies. I have a plexy 12/10/32, and adapted easy cd creator 4 came with it. There isn't photo software included. Gin when you say use cdrw, are you saying erase and rewrite entire contents of photo folder whenever I do a backup? Or will the software recognize that there are already existing images and only add the new? As in the "Say yes to all" option we often see?

I have Sony 12/8/32 IDE CDRW, EZ CD Creator 4.
If you buy new CDRW disc, you have to format disc first with EZCD Creators Direct CD[which you have too, I assume].
Then, after CDRW disc is formated, you can move[copy, delete, etc] files like you do on floppy, zip disc or any partition of your HDD.
If you use "erase" option of Direct CD- you'll have to format CDRW disc again.
To format new CDRW disc takes about 1-2 hrs. I do format[full format] just once. If I want to erase/delete all contents on that particular disc, I either do "quick" format[~2min.] or just simply delete everything on that disc.

You don't need any photo software to store pics on CDRW. Just create folder on CDRW disc and copy files there, or copy/move entire folder to CDRW disc. Once again, it just like another partition of your HDD.
