Going to 256MB Ram would be a good idea, as for the graphics card, what do you plan to do with the system? As for hard drive space, do you have a free spot on an ide cable for another hard drive?

Talking

Many thanks aym_7 and justbarron.

I do have an extra bay and power cable for the hard drive.I'm not sure about the IDE cable.Do you have to use some sort of slave setup for the second drive?.Geforce 2 seems to be the popular choice at the moment.
I use my PC for all sorts from digital photography and art programs to MP3 ,games CD burning internet ,all the usual really.I'm not heavy user of games on my PC so an upgrade of motherboard to an AGP slot is not really necessary.A decent PCI version which can handle games and DVD will be fine for me.
Hope this helps, and thanks for your input to my problem.

If you want to play DVD's, I would go with an ATI Radeon instead of a GeForce.

ATI Cards have built in Hardware DVD Decoding, so you get the best without spending the money for a decoder card.
