D630 DVD burner
I just inherited a Dell Latitude D630 and I would like to replace the DVD-Rom internal drive with a DVD+/-RW drive. where would I get something like this from, because I can't seem to find any online, at least from reputable dealers.

Does this look like it's the same?
New Dell 8x DVDRW DVD±R D600 D610 D630 8500 Dual Layer - eBay (item 130527418935 end time Aug-29-11 14:48:56 PDT) I'm just wondering if it has the right connector, since there are IDE and SATA versions of this drive. At least that's what this other site said, I'm not entirely sure of there's a SATA one or not though. |

If the DELL still has its service tag, you may be able to look up its original hardware configuration. They usually say what type of connector it has on it.

Yea I emailed the seller about it, but he hasn't repsonded yet regarding the connector type or model number. I know it has to be a T1K45.
