Windows 7 x64 (laptop)- Would I notice a difference between 4gb & 8b of ram?

I currently run a
Intel Core2 Duo, with 2.20 Ghz,
4gb of ram (8 gig max) and a Nvidia Geforce 210M

Amazon.com: Sony VAIO CW Series VPC-CW17FX/W - Core 2 Duo- 14- Inch Widescreen TFT 1366 x 768 ( WXGA ) - camera - icy white: Computers & Accessories

The laptop runs great, no memory issues as its used 14+ hours a day as a main work laptop and a gaming laptop at home. (left 4 dead 2, minecraft). Really love the machine, as its faster than any of the crappy computers available at my job.

At about $44 bucks I can upgrade to 8 gb of ram, would this be a worthy investment? My only real desire would be a slight increase on the gaming side.

What is your definition of "worthy investment?" If you mean the difference between night and day-> NOPE

If you're currenly running Win7 - odds are another 4gigs won't make a difference. You can check out task manager to see how much ram you currently use.

What is the rpm of your current drive? The machine you linked too has a 5400rpm drive.

Yes my current drive is 5400 RPM.... are you possibly leading towards a solid state drive?

That or a 7200rpm drive would probably make more difference then more ram would
