2012 Graphic card?

Well I did get a recommendation for my GPU when I was getting my components for my first build. But since my mobo has integrated GPU I decided to keep the GPU on hold.

I had this one recommended, looks real good I really wanted to give it a try. Newegg.com - ATI 100-505606 FirePro V4800 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Workstation Video Card

But I might raise my budget on the GPU itself a little bit more since I am going to wait. I was wondering is there maybe a new GPU coming in 2012 that would be a little better than this one?

I am looking to do motion picture editing, graphic design, web design, 3D, some audio editing, basically media art stuff editing.

To my knowledge that video card would be overkill, how heavy of video/picture editing and design are we talking about?

What software will you be using? You may benefit from Nvidia's CUDA technology.

You may want to look at a Nvidia GTX 570. Yes, I know it's a gaming card, but it's got a ton of CUDA cores.
