Getting a Hard Drive
Hello there, well I'm not sure about this Hard Drive stuff, but I am sure I'll get one very soon. Because I don't understand which one is Hard Drive and the other one (i think its portable, which i dont want to buy), but I do know that I need one of those because my PC is running out of space lol.
Basically I'm looking for a Hard Drive around 50$-100$ (its ok if its 100$ + tax) and if it can be 1TB that would be great! any suggestion for me? I can go to NCIX/TigersDirect to buy. (maybe Future Shop/BestBuy/Wallmart, if they got one) EDIT: since my signature is not showing up I'll list about my pc here: Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit CPU: Intel Pentium E5300 @ 2.60GHz Wolfdale 45nm Technology RAM:4.0GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 400MHz (5-5-5-18) Motherboard:Intel Corporation DG31PR (J3E1) Graphics: X183H @ 1366x768 Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family Hard Drives: 156GB Western Digital WDC WD1600AAJS-00L7A0 ATA Device (SATA) Optical Drives:HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH22NS50 ATA Device |

Now is not the time to buy a hard drive -prices are sky high due to the floods in Thailand.
Are you looking for a larger drive to upgrade your present drive, or are you looking for an additional internal drive to use for storage, or are you looking for an external portable drive? Where are you located? |

Nobody is going to be putting a hard drive on sale this week - but here's about the best you can do for $100:
Canada Computers | Hard Drives | Western Digital Caviar Blue (WD5000AAKX) 500GB SATA3 6GB/s 7200RPM 16MB Buffer (OEM) If you really need 1tb: Canada Computers | Hard Drives | Western Digital Caviar Green (WD10EARX) 1TB SATA3 6Gb/s 64MB (OEM) Other vendors won't be beating those prices by much, if any. This assumes you have an available hard drive bay, SATA connector, and power connector in your computer. |
