Finding HP service manuals

I can usually find service manuals for HP laptops but not easily. For instance you need a service manual for a HP G70, you go to HP find the product click on manuals and you get this where I don't see an actual service manual. I know it exists as I found a link to it on someone else's repair site. So how do you find this at the actual HP site is my question? I need to be able to find them quickly and I'm sure it's easy but I'm not figuring it out.

I think Google is actually faster; the HP site is terrible to navigate and you get slammed with pop-ups constantly.

I agree but using google always takes me to some post on someones blog or in a forum with a link to the service manual and never to a link that goes directly to the manual or to HP page somewhere. So I'm wondering how anyone ever finds it.

I have–several times–just by typing 'Pavilion dv6 service manual', for example.

You need to search and it's a pain. I know of no easy way. I run in to that as well, thankfully I save all of them on a flash drive. I have the G60 (I think it is the same) manual I can send you. If you want, send me your email in a PM

I have the G70 manaual but I only found it in a round about way. Today I needed one for a G56-129wm and I did find it and it wasn't too long of a search but it could still be easier I was hoping for some top secret method to finding them easily at HP's site.
Good idea saving them which I will do now as well.

HP G56-100 Notebook PC series*-* Manuals - HP Business Support Center

For example, I searched "HP G56 series manual"

That seems to work 50% of the time. It worked on the money this time. I used duck duck go today because I am typing this from Linux 7 Sabayon E17 (Enlightenment) on my test rig. It was the first one in both Google and DDG
