Need help with psu issue

today while trying to figure out why my computer keeps on given the BSOD, my computer shut down for no reason and would not power back up.. so I took everything out of the case, and just plugged in the two MB connectors, and it fired right up.. So next I cleaned up the case put everything back in, hook all things up and then bam, it would not fire up again.. So I took a new 350w from my daughters machine hooked up just the power to the MB while in the case, and it worked again.. Could it be my psu is gone, or is there something else I should be looking at Thanks.

PSU is a Antec Earth Watts 650

Take everything back out of the case and successively connect things back in one at a time.

Thanks Dave, I found the culprit. My daughter 300GB HD from her old computer that I stuck in my case is bad.. I hooked up one item at a time, and powered it back up until I found the bad egg.. Now what makes me made is, I can't trust her other components, that I had bought a new psu for.. If he old psu went bad, and took out the Hd, I suspect the MB might be gone as well.. It seems one of her friends was playing around with it, and she did not tell me for months, that her computer no longer worked.. So since she has another I might as well, just chuck the rest...
