USB 3.0 PCIe card recommendations?

I ordered two Bytecc USB 3.0 PCI express cards, but unfortunately, they don't function as advertised. So, I was looking for another brand to try since these Bytecc cards were duds.

Here's the deal with the Bytecc cards:

When USB 3.0 hard drives are plugged into the controller or any other USB 2.0 port, the USB drive drops as soon as data is written to the drive. I can read data from the drive all day along, but as soon as anything is written, the USB drive disconnects itself.

Thinking that it was something that could be fixed with a firmware update, I attempted to run the firmware update tool, but that causes the computer to instantly crash and gets the machine stuck in a powered-on state prior to seeing the POST screen. Holding the power button to turn off the machine is necessary.

Using the same external hard drives on different computers that did not have the card installed operate fine and extended drive diagnostics show no issues. Bytecc support is completely unresponsive. They do not appear to be monitoring their support email account.

USB 3.0 Speed Tests: 7-Way Host Controllers Roundup by VR-Zone.com

This one uses the NEC/Renesas µPD720200A chip even though it is not stated
Newegg.com - StarTech 2 Port PCI Express SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Card Adapter Model PEXUSB3S2

I have used one only but it works great (at work). If you decide on it, let me know what you think as I occasionally get the call for it.
