Help, laptop beeps one time when it first boots up ??
for the last month when my Toshiba laptop firsts boots and goes to the home screen it has one "beep"
It seems to run fine, I ran my anti virus scan yesterday and it had one malware and I deleted it..what is this from ? |

Yes everything SEEMS fine ??? It never has done this in the 2 yrs Ive owned it though, it just started

As glc says, the single beep is indicative of a successful "power on self test" POST. It's strange you haven't heard it before.
Have you noticed any hardware updates recently? What you describe indicates a BIOS update, but that is unlikely, thats the sort of thing you would normally do yourself.

i just opened MSCONFIG and I saw "disc doctor" loaded in there and checked, I unchecked, no beep
|

Interesting. I have never used "disk doctor" but it would explain your extraneous beep.
