Looking for a recommendation on a SATA dual layer dvd burner (internal). Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanx

The last few that I bought were made by ASUS...Main reason is that they are quiet.

There is very little difference between any of them these days - and they are dirt cheap. I'd buy anything but a Samsung. If you aren't in a hurry, keep an eye on Newegg's page and get one when they put it on sale for under $20 with free shipping. If you have to get one right now, there are several in the $18 range with shipping in the $5 to $7 range. Asus is as good as any.

I've been getting Lite-On DVD burners for several years. None have failed, and none have burned coasters using TDK or Verbatim single or dual-layer DVDs.
