OK, so when I go to install OS/2 Warp 4, everything works out fine, except for when I get to the format volume part. The HD is 150GB in size, and the only FS OS/2 will install on with this drive is HPFS. When I choose quick format, it gives me an error. However, when I choose long format, it says "Please wait while the installation partition is formatted...". It has been stuck at this screen for a long time, and I don't see the HD light doing anything! What could be the problem?
![]() EDIT: I just looked at the installer error log (at the disk format part) and it's the server version, even though what I downloaded said "Client". I thought it was the client version, like it said. Also, wouldn't the server version have a different boot screen. When I booted it from the CD, it was the regular blue screen. Anyways, I have the regular OS/2 Warp 4 from 1996, and it has 3 disk images (Installation.img, Disk 1.img, and Disk 2.img). However, I don't have a computer with a floppy drive! Is there any way to install OS/2 Warp (from 1996) on my Dell B110 PC without a floppy drive? Last edited by jpass101; 06-30-2012 at 08:19 PM. |

As far as I know, you need a floppy drive. You will also need to create a new OS/2 Boot disk for larger hard drives. How can you download it? Does it have a valid licence? The WarpDoctor Clinic
eComStation is the newest version and it does not require a floppy disk. http://www.ecomstation.com/ Last edited by jdeb; 07-01-2012 at 03:57 PM. |
