Great read. My first computer was a 5150 and I remember doing everything the author talked about on mine. I still have 2 working 5150s in my collection.

I got one and it is a pretty putty color . It is one I have been meaning to restore but it is fully functional or at least the last time I checked. My goal was to pull them out every six months or so to check them out. In my old house (huge) in Detroit, I had all of collection lined up on shelves (heated basement) begging for a push of the switch.

I am in the process of fixing up a real nice, neglected (foreclosure) home that will have plenty of room (huge, steel pull barn ). The only issue is going to be internet because it is in the middle of nowhere. Broadstripe said they could run a line to the property but it will cost $10K I have not even thought to much about it as I am a ways away from making the home livable to the wife's standards. The guys just finished putting a new deck up and did a fabulous job, money well spent. Plumbing is just about done. Electrical is done except out to the pull barn but ready to run. I have to dig the trench to run electrical, network cable. Waiting on my buddy's chain trencher and Bobcat, making a pond as well. I just put a new wood burning stove out there. I fixed the Quincy compressor. Electrical is fixed and up to code now. Looking for a vehicle lift and an refrigerated air dryer. So much to do and little time to do it. The goal is to be done by next summer. I will then possibly put the PC Museum back in service, providing I stop selling stuff.
