Is this a decent deal?

Finally upgrading old components and ran across this on tiger direct http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...&Sku=E145-0554 i would be upgrading from onboard video so i know that would be a plus, but how good or bad is this card?

I would'nt recommend anything from tiger direct, they have a very poor reputation with customers.

Although shipping to me is next day there is very little follow through on Rebates...so don't expect to cash in on them... out of the 8 i've sent in I havent gotten a single one and did get letters saying it wasnt postmarked in time when it actually was...

I only buy from them in a last ditch effort

What is the make and model of your power supply?

Current system specs?

What is the intended use for the upgrade? Games?

Same price at Newegg, same rebate, $4.99 shipping. Not the best card for the price.

AMD Phenom II x2 550
Hitachi HDT725032VLA360 ATA
PATRIOT SECTOR 5 VIPER II 4GB DDR3 PC3-10666 CL9
MSI NF980-G65 nForce 980a SLI Socket AM3 Using onboard video from the mobo since my old card fried.
Cooler Master 700 watt RS700PCAAE3

and the upgrade would be from onboard video to this, i do a little gaming but am not trying to dominate fps shooters with max resolution and ultra settings.

Don't use rebates if you want warranties. Rebates throws it out the window. I've read of such cases.

A rebate will NOT void a manufacturer's warranty. However, it will void any exchange privilege you have with the vendor due to cutting the UPC out of the packaging.

Ah, that's the case, you're right. I still wouldn't use 'em though.
