Question about RAM
Sorry for all the questions but have one here.
Per crucial.com it says my ram is Memory Type: DDR3 PC3-12800, DDR3 (non-ECC) I was looking on BB because I have a coupon and saw this ram which seems to be a slower speed. Will it work with my laptop Memory Module |

Laptops can be fussy. The ONLY ram I'll buy for a laptop is off the Crucial configurator. I won't touch PNY ram with a 10 foot pole.

So let me get it right. You would only buy ram that was Memory Type: DDR3 PC3-12800, DDR3 (non-ECC) You also stated you only buy what crucial states. Everywhere I have read it says it only does 8 max, but crucial.com is stating 16. That is a huge difference. Why do you think crucial would have such a huge difference? I only buy what Crucial states directly from them, so I get the compatibility guarantee. I believe I said that in your other thread. If you buy ram elsewhere and it doesn't work, you generally can't get a refund.
I would definitely not buy different speed/spec ram. If you are going to use both slots, I would never use 2 different modules. If you must buy ram from Best Buy, remove the factory ram and buy 2 identical modules of the specified speed. |

I believe we discussed this in your other thread. Perhaps you should ask Lenovo.
