3gb of RAM?
I have this Toshiba L300 laptop that came with one stick of 1gb and one stick of 2 gb, for a total of 3gb. That came from the factory.
Wasn`t I always told that RAM should always be paired with the same sticks for maximum performance? |

For dual channel yes but yours is working as a single channel. Also it's probably all your OS's gonna see.

The newer chipsets can run mismatched size modules in flex mode dual channel with a very minor performance hit from true dual channel.

Interesting. I have a 2 and a 1 on mine (K9MM-V) but probably too old for that flex mode.
