Random blue screens, help identifying issue

I have a desktop PC running windows 7 pro, with i5 CPU. Its perhaps 3 or 4 yeard old. Built it myself. There have been no recent hardware installs or changes, and no recent software installations. I have been getting the blue screen error followed by a reboot for past few weeks, but sporadically. Sometimes it will run for an hour or so before i get the error, sometimes its up for only 2 minutes before it comes up. I tried looking in event viewer, to see if anything could be identifed there, but I did not see anything. I have run hard drive checks and Windows memory diagnostic. Nothing was found.
I don't know how to go about troubleshooting or identifying the issue. I run a software for checking disks, and it said that it found errors, and told me to reboot so it could finish its check, And it took like 5 hours to finish the check at restart. But it did not say it fixed anything, and i am still having these issues.
Can you please share some thoughts on what it may be?? I realize there are many potentials, but with no new hardware, therefore no new drivers...i am hoping that helps to narrow the field?

Control panel, system. Advanced system settings, startup and recovery. Settings, uncheck automatically restart. This will freeze the bluescreen so you can read the stop code.

The correct way to check your disks is at a command prompt, using chkdsk /f.

Ok i wasn't aware of that option to turn off the auto restart. I like it.

Once the blue screen stays up, i will write down what it says and then post back if I cannot figure it out myself.
Thank you.

Yes, and use pastebin. How much RAM do you have installed?

I have 8 gigs of ram.
I went to start it up right now, and it loaded and then had just gotten to the desktop and suddenly it says "logging off" and then "shutting down". But i had not touched anything. It restarted on its own and then i had again just gotten to the desktop again when i got a blue screen message.

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.....

later down the screen it says

***STOP: 0x0000001E .(0xFFFFFFFFC0000005,0xFFFFFA80084F3BB0, (then two more similar items)

How do i find out what that is??

This error typically indicates low disk space, a bug in a device driver or the system BIOS.
