difficulty connecting to wireless network
computer: Toshiba mini NB255 with atom 1.6ghx cpu/1 ghz ram
issue: cant connect to wireless network ----------------------------------------------------- discussion: This netbook has a builtin wireless card. My wireless network requires login data (ie password and key). OS= win xp sp3. On boot up: comput attains desktop but the lower right corner network icon has "^x" thru it. what is the cause/solution to this. comput works with an external LAN wireless card..wld like to be able to use (only) the internal wireless card. service= verizon vzw 4g service. thanks. |

What brand and model is the wireless access point/router you are trying to connect to?

It is a verizon 4g wireless router

Look for the wireless icon in the systray, it's the one with the single monitor. Right click, select View available wireless networks. What do you get?
