difficulty connecting to wireless network

computer: Toshiba mini NB255 with atom 1.6ghx cpu/1 ghz ram

issue: cant connect to wireless network

-----------------------------------------------------

discussion:

This netbook has a builtin wireless card. My wireless network requires login data (ie password and key). OS= win xp sp3. On boot up: comput attains desktop but the lower right corner network icon has "^x" thru it.

what is the cause/solution to this.

comput works with an external LAN wireless card..wld like to be able to use (only) the internal wireless card.

service= verizon vzw 4g service.

thanks.

Look for the wireless icon in the systray, it's the one with the single monitor. Right click, select View available wireless networks. What do you get?
