I have Intell Core 2 Duo,E6750,1333mhz,4MB L2 Cache,LGA 775, 2gig Corsair mem, Sonata II case with Antec 450 watt power sup.Asus P5B-E,H.I.S ATI Radeon HD 4670, Have Maxtor 200 gig SATA X 2. DVD drive and DVD REC.
It was working fine until yesterday. Went to start it up and it started windows, requested log in info and chose me (have my wife also a user), started loading personnel settings. Then it took a long time to get to my desktop. The desk top was only partially there and it seemed to hang there. Restarted after waiting several min. It did it again. So I gave up and shut down. This morning I tried to start it back up and noticed there was a green light on but the computer wasn't on. Went to click on the start button and the green light went off and nothing. There is nothing. Made sur:confused:e everything was plugged in correctly. Do you thing it might be the power supply. This computer is about 4 yrs old. I have a lot of my personnel photo's on it, but backed up also. Got any ideas before I start out buying stuff.

Did out of case boot with the old power supply, no go. Hooked up the new power supply and it boot fine. Put everything back in and it seem to be working ok, until I went to use the usb ports. For some reason what ever I hook up to the computer through the usb port nothing happens. Even on the MB. So I rechecked several time to make sure everything was connected properly. Still can't get it to recognize what ever I hook up. I have another computer and tried the items on it's usb port and it came right up. I went in to hardware management, usb seem to be working fine. Got any ideas?

Did you go into device manager and check to see if there is any yellow exclamation point associate with the usb ports? I am guessing you might need to update the driver for the usb ports.

Yeah I did, no yellow markers anywhere.

Unplug your front panel USB ports, card readers (if applicable) and all other USB devices except keyboard/mouse (if applicable), remove everything under USB Controllers in device manager, then reboot.
