In my last post I said I might have to start from scratch well that's what I did , freed
up every resorce I could including the ports and put the cards in one at a time testing at every step well locked on the second card the Monster 300mx sound card loves resorces so for ha ha's I removed it from the device manager and low and behold no more lock ups so for now I retro fitted it, good old sound blaster 64 aew,No more lock ups moving on with the rest of the install and set up thanks to all who replied and to FLOPPYMAN who got me thinking so some rainy saturday when I feel like messin around I'll see if I can get around the 300mx problems and use it. Yes You Did all of you and yeah I took the
easy way out for now but I'm gonna miss that aureal 3D sound so I'll have to tackle that see if there's been a notice or another update to the drivers, seems it was the sound blaster pro emulation sucking up an extra irq and it wouldn't let me change it. Funny it never did that in my DFI SS7 motherboard THANX Zneter |

did you ever try switching cards around....move your montster card around....that might keep it from sharing the same IRQ that your videocard has....

I've herd of that but just never gave it much
credit, figured if I freed up everything it would take the irq it needed and nothing more BIG mistake but I'll give that a try |
