Recently , my frined was having a problem with his computer where his case wasn't working with his motherboard to turn on. I brought my newly built and working computer over to his house and tried my mb with his case and it worked, and I tryed my case with his mb and it worked. We fixed the problem and then his moniter wasn't sending signals to his monitor, so I tried mine and it didn't work with his monitor. We tried a different monitor with my computer and it didn't work either. I took out and put back in my videocard and it still didn't work. It was giving me the beep code that there was no RAM, so I took out 2 256's from my slots and put in a brand new one and still didn't work. Anyone have a fix?
I have a SHUTTLE AV40R MB and 768 MB of RAM. |

Could be a couple reasons. Reset the cmos by jumper or removing the battery for a min and put back in. Insure the video card is fully seated. Try booting with just one stick of ram in dimm bank #1. Are you sure it is a ram beep code and not a video beep code?
