Do you have to use the software that came with the card. Its just I have this mercury card (i know cheap) and I cant seem to get it to run properly (well tune in properly at least) it aint the tuning before you ask its the software.

Any help appreciated thanks.

This may or may not be your problem, but with my Hauppauge TV card, I have to set the tuner to Cable-HRC (instead of Cable) to get a picture. HTH

I have the card its ina and seems to be working okay. There is a coax plug in the wall that is coonected to the aerial on the roof of this building. With the software I can only oick up one channel okay and more importantly it soon dissapears and I have to do a scan every time I reboot the computer.
