HP 540 printer enhancement??

Is there a way to get my 5 year old (but highly reliable) HP 540 printer to print only odd or even pages from a web page?

I need to save paper.

I'm not sure if there is a way to do it automatically, but you can do it manually if you know which pages you want printed. When the "Print" screen comes up, there is a box (at least on mine) that says "Print Range". You can manually select which pages to print that way, but I guess you would have to print one page at a time, like page 1, then page 3...
