Best type of memory for ABIT- KT7A-RAID

I'm starting my first build with 512 meg (one stick) of memory and I have heard or read of problems on the KR7A-RAID board when filling all the slots! Here it is:

KR7A-RAID Memory

Owners of the KR7A-RAID motherboard should note that the KT266 chipset used on the motherboard places some limitations on the memory that can be used. You have two options:

Up to three unbuffered DIMMs (up to 1GB each) to a maximum of 3GB of DDR RAM

Up to four registered DIMMs (up to 1GB each) to a maximum of 4GB of DDR RAM

and that's it! You cannot mix unbuffered and registered RAM. This is a limitation of the KT266A chipset and not ABIT and it is not something that can be changed by a future BIOS release. Registered DIMMs cost approximately $10 more than unbuffered DIMMs for a 256MB module. Note also that the memory bus is asynchronous, meaning that it runs at either 200MHz or 266MHz DDR, regardless of the FSB used. ECC memory is supported. Note that several users have reported problems with 256MB and 512MB PC2100 ECC memory modules from Crucial - these should be avoided.

The maximum DDR memory support is about 3.5GB rather than 4GB. This limitation is caused by the PC architecture in which the missing 0.5GB of memory is due to addresses being reserved for PCI I/O space, AGP aperture mapping space and other onboard device I/O space. This limitation applies to all current motherboards and is due to the fact that 32-bit processors can only address a total of 4GB of memory.

Now if any owners of the KR7A-RAID would let me know which type of memory they would recommend?

unbuffered

unburrered - ECC

registered - ECC

And where they recommened to buy it - Obviously not CRUCIAL

Thanks

Just go with regular unbuffered memory, why would you need ECC anyway? It's used for servers and actually decreases performence.
