I have 2 questions
How to prepare a boot disk that will allow the use of a CDROM, so Win 95 can be installed from a CDROM? Where I can get, or down load MS DOS ver 6.1 or above? Thank you very much IR |

Hello,
First format a floppy in Win95 and set it to copy the system files. If not, you can make a startup disk in the control panel. Copy the mscdex.exe to the a:\ drive. After preparing the hdd to install Win95, copy the mscdex.exe file to the c:\ drive and if your cd-rom drive came with an installation disk for the cd-rom drive, run the install program and when it prompts you for the location of the mscdex.exe file, enter c:\. Reboot and assumming that all has gone well, proceed to install Win95. I hope this helps. |
