2 CDRW = 2 copies?

I am planning on getting a SCSI CDRW for burning CD's. Does anyone know if I can put two burners on the SCSI bus, if I can make two copies at a time?

I'm going SCSI because I am out of IDE ports and SCSI can support up to 7+ devices.

These will be amature music CD's (CD-R), not data CD's.

you would save a lot of money by just changing the motherboard to one that has 2 ata 66 ports and 2 ata 33 ports, that would give you 8 devices that cost a lot less than scsi. if you are going into mass production of cd then get a multi drive copier.

Um, to save nmore money, just buy an ATA66 expansion card, instead of a new mobo.

The issue is finding software that will burn to 2 devices at the same time. I haven't ever seen any. I would also expect if this *were* possible you would have massive buffer underruns in spite of the SCSI bus.

Yeap, a Promise ATA 66 PCI controller runs about 30 bucks. If you prefer, you can modify it with a 5 cent resistor and a little solder to make it the RAID version. Could then run your hard drives on the RAID card and use your board's IDE channels for multiple CD drives.
