Hi reboot and all others.
I had more than a few posts over on the (nowonder) forum in regards to my T-clock reporting CPU usage of %40 -60 all the time. Well reboot told me to heve that winmodem and get a real one. I did , external, and guess what ? Now with 5 windows and 2 programs open my CPU usage is at %2!!! resources are at $85 ( after 20 hours on)and i'm a happy camper! NoIRQ wows ( everybody has his own IRQ and we don't need to share anymore) In case anyone else wants to try this be carful removing win modem software. US robotics has a uninstal program that works like a charm(WMREGDEL) Any opinions about Modem booster? |

If you insist on a "modem speed boosting" type of software instead of registry hacking, get iSpeed from my modems page.
BTW, you're welcome for the help on "that other" bbs. ![]() ------------------ Who needs a life?, I have internet! Cheers, Jim Jim & Sue's Free Files | Jims Modems |

I'm not insisting on anything. I probably felt a need for modem booster or ispeed cause of that winmodem.
Since I installed your favorite modem my connection has been 49333 solid. downloads in the 5 to 8 KBps range. There is an advantage to winmodems though; Micron makes more money on me!
