Do you or have you owned a ECS K7VZA Motherboard? If so , did you ever try to get the Aux. USB2 to work for you. My main concern is making sure the connections from the usb port connectors to the board are correct. Mostly just the ground wires. My Belkin connector has two ground wires on one connector, and i have two connectors. Concentrating on just one connector. I know that one of the ground wires has to go on for sure, but which one? And the pin marked OC, which = over current detect, on the motherboard, does it require the second ground wire to be attached to it or not. One ground wire follows the cabling all the way thur to what ever device is hooked up, printer, scanner ect... The other larger ground wire grounds to the usb shell (shield), also called the drain wire. If you want, you can go to this web site (
www.ecsusa.com/usbk7vza.cfm ) for a picture of the usb header and it's pin assinments and this web site (
www.belkin.co.uk/support/faq/f3u001.html ) for the type of Belkin braket connector and it's description, that I am using. If you have dealed with this same problem, or even if you have'nt but know the answer, please feel free to speak up. It seems that there are alot of ECS K7VZA board owners asking the same question at different places across the web. Including the techs at ECS. I already talked with them and they do'nt know either or just want say because they do'nt want to be responsable for a burnt board which is just silly because they build it, they should know. And when you buy something, you should be able to use everthing on it that's advertised and not have to spend hours, days and months looking for the answer to something that, to me, is basicly a simple fix, if you are supplyed with the correct information to work with. So if you know the answer, stand up and shout I'm mad as he-ll and i'm not going to take this anymore. Then when you have calmed down, log on and let's talk. That's what my therapist say's to do, but what do'es he know. He says I should get out more, but the warden say's not for another 5 to 10. JUST KIDDING! Looking forward to your reply's. WAYWARD
