Just got a couple of new modems the same brand and type Courier V Everything External modems . One is on Win. 98 and the other on Win. 98 SE ,the one on 98SE will tell me the right connection speed the other shows 115200. I had it at one time but can not get windows to install th right driver now. The one that works shows Courier V Everything plug and play v90and x2, the other one shows Courier plug and play . Both work ok but would like to get it to report the correct speed , any ideas, Gary

How did you install one differently than the other? I'd use the cd that came with the modem - instead of plug & play (a joke at times). Otherwise, type &f1 in extra settings under modem properties. That's "supposed" to make USR's report correct speed. But, f1 should already be a default setting.
