Need Help Overclocking Newbie
I just got my new system build and I'm wondering how do I overclock it?
ECS K7SEM 950 MHZ. DURON 256 P133 RAM In my bios there is an option to change the front side bus. 101/103/106/112/133 do I change these. Right now its on the defaul one. If I change them and my system don't boot what do I do? I do I unlock the proessor? I know you have to do something with the L1 Bridges but I dont' know what. |

you can raise it by fsb, or the multiplier. Yeah, you have to connect the L1 bridges. Im sure someone can give you a link. Are you using artic silver, and a better h/f than the stock one?

Just increase the FSB one step at a time and constantly watch your temps if it is stable the take it up one more notch if you change it and it doesint boot clear the cmos and it should be fine

BTW, unlocking the processor (connecting the L-1 bridges) only allows manipulation of the clock multiplier. You need not do this to change the fsb.
