For 8 months now I've been trying to get my 'new' build running properly. 2 motherboards, GA-7VTX, & an EP-8K7A+, 2 cpu's, Athlon 1.33 & a 1.4,,, 2 Antec cases,etc.etc.etc. Cannot get my processor usage to stay any where within reasonable bounds. I've tried everything I could think of including just about everthing that you guys have tried to me help with. Which I thank you for & for your patience with my not too elucid questions. Right now typing this it's stuck at 80 %... So I've come to the conclusion that the problem is those crappy VIA chips used on both of these boards. So since the 'Athlon' world seems to revolve around the Via universe I'm going to try another MB. I've considered ...
Iwill XP333-R Abit KR7 Shuttle Ak35GTR Asus A7V266E--------$$$$$---Is it worth it? Epox EP8KHA+ I 'tend to like the EP board. It has good ratings on several forums including 'pcmech' and the price is real good for the implied quality. I've found it at (Cnetpc.com)....for $99.00. No shipping & no tax. Any advice or comments you can give as to MB or this supplier would really be welcomed. Len |

I am running win98se & winxp on the IWILL XP333 pure board. Love it! Didn't at first, coming from a long line of fic, abit, epox boards all with VIA crapsets. Choose the Raid ver: from newegg.com $109 even if ya don't use raid this gives you ata/133 hipoint controler for the new maxtor hard drives. Just screams, plus the raid gives ya two more drives!
