Under Win98SE & Win95OSR2, can't get this LS-120 drive to install. Windows seems to recognise the USB & installs a USB controller in DEVICE MANAGER but it won't assign it a Drive Letter nor in DISK DRIVE in DEVICE MANAGER where I would expect to seet alongside the IDE drives.
There don't appear to be any IRQ conflicts & there aren't any other USB peripherals on the PC.

Before plugging the drive in, make sure device manager shows a USB controller and a USB root hub. Then plug the drive in hot (while Windows is running) and the "Found new hardware" wizard should pop up. A LS-120 may not be a supported USB device in 95b, but it *will* work in 98.

Under USB Controller in DEVICE MANAGER, both the Intel PCI to USB & Root Hub appear.

I did manage to get Win 98 to recognise the drive & it installed it in Hard Disk Controllers in DEVICE MANAGER. The problem is that it won't assign it a drive lettet & it does not appear in DEVICE MANAGER Disk Drives(or wherever it should be listed as a DRIVE in DEVICE MANAGER). Consequently Win 98 does not assign it a drive letter & I can't access it.

Finally got the drive recognised by Windows by getting a new set of drivers from Freecom.

Now I can't get the drive to read LS-120 diskettes although it does read 1.44MB diskettes. I tried disconnecting my internal IDE LS-120 drive in case of conflict but that hasn't made any difference. Anyone had a similar experience - this is the 2nd LS-120 drive I have tried, the first one didn't even power up!
