which speaker shld I get
Hi guys,
I ostly use my PC to listen to music. My sound is onboard AC97. It is Direct Sount and Blaster compatible Full Duplex 16-bit record and playback (as on MOBO manual) I would like u to suggest which speakers are good. I wld like one with subwoofer. I dont listen much to pop and never rock. Mostly new age and classical so I think this onboard is ok. Now for the speakers my budget is only abt 65(singapore) that is almost 35US$ Here are the stuff near my budget. So which one shall I get 1. Altec Lansing ACS 33 Sub-woofer Speaker System 2. Altec Lansing ACS 65IU Sub-woofer Speaker System 3. Creative Inspire 2400 2.1 Sub-woofer Speaker System 4. Creative PC-Work Sub-woofer Speaker System 5. Creative SW320 2.1 Speaker w/Sub-Woofer Advice please thx. |

Go somewhere, stereo store ,computer shop ect. and listen to them. Then buy the ones that sound best to you. Everyone hears a little diffrently , my spending alot of money on good speakers is a waste. I can't tell the diffrence ;to much Pink Floyd, or Alice Cooper in my past I guess.

Hi aceMan,
I have the ACS33 setup, best budget (under $50) speakers in my opinion and I would highly recommend then.

You wont be disappointed with Altec Lansing. Pretty much any of their speaker sets sound great. The Creative Inspires that I demoed at futureshop do not have as full sound as the Altecs. Personally I own a set of Boston Acoustics and I think their about the best computer speakers on the market.

Also, you might want to check out the Logitech Z-340. Retail in the states for $39-$49. For the $$$ the sub will blow you away (and BTW, I Own a set of Altec 621's and ACS 295's, and love 'em....so not knocking Altec in the least).
