ram not showing

ok, so i install 2 sticks of pc66 ram in my "ex"girlfriend's computer. each stick is 64mb. she's running win95 with a pentium166. she used to have simms, but there were also 2 slots for dimms, so i filled them. but when i rebooted it still comes up as 32mb of ram. i know those sticks are good sticks. b4 she had 32mb worth of simms. now that i put in 128 it only shows up as 32. should i change the CMOS battery? cuz that's going as well. or is it just the OS, i haven't messed with Win95 in years. i would give her a new computer, but i'm still not happy with her. but if you can help me with the memory problem, that would be great.

Did you remove the SIMMS, as you cannot run Dimms and Simms at the same time.
This is also a pain as you may have to play around with switching positions with the DImms to get them to show.
If this is a 440vx chipset board it may never see the Dimms as anything larger than 32mb. I had one board that in order to show 128 I had to buy all new Simms.
