Audgiy XP headache

I just finished a home build with an SB Audigy running on XP with an MSI k7T266 Pro Ru board. The card was working fine with a 2 speaker setup, but I cannot get any sound out of my new Klipsch Pro Audio speakers. At first when I tried to switch the setting on the Audigy to 5.1 surround I started getting wierd errors saying that the sound card wasn't properly installed. Since then I've uninstalled all the driver and software and reinstalled it with no success. I've also downlaod the lastest XP drivers from Creative's site, but I still cannot get any sound out of my speakers. I don't want to rule anything out although Idoubt that it is the speakers because they are brand new. They are not digital speakers and I made sure that the digital only output was not selected in the Audigy software. I cannot figure out what's going on here, but I am really disappointed I cannot get any sound out of my Klipsch. Please Help.

There have always been issues with Creative cards and VIA chipsets, just to let you know. The only thing I can think of, if all the connections are fine, is to try the latest VIA 4-in-1 drivers here. Hope it helps

You may get a different brand of card, if what brother Furius said doesn't pan out. VIA and Creative don't work well together to say the least. Creative has trouble staying within pci specs.

Some thoughts

Well I tried what Furius said and installed the updated 4in1 drivers. I still cannot get any sound, but the my system crashes every time I try to change the mixer settings. Anyway, I going to uninstall all the Audigy software and start with a clean windows install. Wish me luck.
