DVD Drive Problem
I just installed a Pioneer DVD drive, it is the Model 115 drive. I pulled out from a working system. Now After I installed it, and I go to play a DVD the drive plays a movie for about 4 minutes, the the video freezes, but the sound keeps right on going. Does anyone have an idea about why this is happening.
I built my own system and it is comprised of an Antex 1035 case, 350watt Power, 1600 Athlon XP, on a Iwill KA266 board (Ali Chipset) 384 meg of DDR 2100 RAM. I have the DVD as a slave to a ACER 20-10-40 CDRW Drive on the secondary IDE channel. I have a Western Digital ATA 100 drive, 7200 RPM 30 gig drive on the primary Channel with a ZIP 100 drive set as slave. Hercules Prophet 4500 AGP , 64 meg memory. Using the Lastest XP drivers. Onboard Sound C-Media Wave ver 5.10. I am running Win XP Pro, and have tried using the Interactual DVD Player, Free DVD, and Zoom Player DVD software to play the DVD, each program does the same thing. I am have a USR Sportster internal 56k modem installed in the PC, the PC is on a network with a Linksys 10/100 Card.
