fqpissed Can't boot past system config screen

Hello all. I have a Asus P/I P55T2P4 mobo to replace my dead original. I've reinstalled all original components: Pentium 200MMX CPU, 64MB RAM, modem card, NIC card, video card, sound card, Samsung 3.4GB HD w/ windows 95 on it. I keep getting the disk boot failure message. My drive model & size, CDROM & floppy are detected in the IDE devices. Then the PCI devices are listed, then I get the boot failure message. I've set all the auto detect options in bios, cleared the bios CMOS, set bios defaults, tried boot disks downloaded from www.bootdisk.com w/no luck (w/bios setting changed), system just hangs with the floppy light on forever, can't get a dos prompt. Tried to reinstall windows 95 by booting to the CD (w/bios setting changed), no luck.
WHAZZUP?? Why can't I get my system to boot to any of the 3 devices: HD, floppy, CDROM? Thanks for any help!

Hi dlmenard,

Are all the drives jumpered correctly?

Are the IDE and floppy cables installed correctly?

IDE cable goes red stripe to pin 1 on the motherboard and hard drive. If the IDE cable is a 40 wire ATA33, set the drive jumper to either master or slave. If the IDE cable is a 80 wire ATA66/100/133, set the drive jumper to CS (cable select) and connect the blue connector to the motherboard, black connector to the master hard drive and the grey connector to the slave drive.

Floppy cable is red stripe to pin 1 on the motherboard and floppy drive (make sure where pin 1 is on the floppy by visually checking the PCB for a 1 or small triangle indicating pin 1) and the end with weird twist goes to the floppy.
